In this eBriefing, Max A. Heirich, Ph.D., Director, Worker Health Program, Institute of Labor and Industrial Relations at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, presents findings from a study on the effectiveness of a proactive outreach program in the worksite. Using a cardiovascular risk identification program, the study also examined drinking behaviors. The study includes follow-up on recidivism rates among employees who had been treated for drug or alcohol abuse and was conducted in collaboration with the DrinkWise Program at the University.
